When I 1st started working on this film in 2019, I did get a lot of attention for my concept art, and lots of buzz on Twitter, so it was strange that when I'd originally premiered it, I was ghosted by everyone.
This film was almost totally destroyed & lost forever due to hacker terrorists & a deadly pandemic. YOU CAN'T EVEN MAKE THIS STUFF UP! The computer I made this film on IS TOTALLY DEAD.
I noticed an email, since I get news letter emails from various filmmaker related things, and I ALMOST had a chance to submit this to a film in 2020 since I had the film on my thumb-drive, and was borrowing a laptop. But, then the pandemic struck, and after that, most Film Festivals INSISTED that films had to be completed WITHIN 2020-2021ish, which has seriously disheartened me. Well, this certain email caught my eye, so on a whim I opened it.
That's what started ALL OF THIS!
I looked at the email, and it was a Festival of THE TYPE I wanted to submit to, but WAY OFF IN THE FUTURE. I checked the rules, and there weren't any that rejected a film older than this year or last year. So, I thought: I SHOULD JUST DO IT! GO FOR IT!
So, I did!
I got to work on my official poster, cut my official trailer, submitted my Director's Headshot, typed up my Bio, and Cover letters.
So, after about 3 film festival submissions, I got scouted!
And, the scouted has been going on for 3 days! Its OVERWHELMING!
They were literally inviting ME to their Festivals! WHAT???
DOES THIS HAPPEN???
I got invited to festivals I NEVER THOUGHT WOULD EVEN TAKE ME SERIOUSLY!
I just wanted to be in some niche little brazenly "weird" or "cult" festivals with Artsy & Experimental film weirdos, and those Sci-Fi/Fantasy Indie outfits. But, once I started getting scouted by SOME BIG ONES, I was like WHAT????
I am just SO GOBSMACKED! I never thought SO MANY venues would want my film!
